BATON ROUGE, LA — MMR was featured in The Advocate for providing industrial career opportunities in collaboration with ExxonMobil through the North Baton Rouge Industrial Training Initiative (NBRITI).

NBRITI helps meet labor demands by providing a network of education and industry partners with a sustainable solution to recruit, train and develop North Baton Rouge residents for successful careers with local industrial employers like MMR. MMR employs several NBRITI program graduates who have further advanced their skills by receiving NCCER+ certifications and becoming certified electricians while working at the ExxonMobil Complex in Baton Rouge.

“The men and women hired by MMR have proceeded to obtain more advanced knowledge of electrical and instrumentation skills, which opens the door to so many new opportunities for them,” said MMR Vice President of Construction Jason Templet. “These employees take pride in themselves and their work. They see a path for themselves that maybe they didn’t see before. Their drive and willingness to learn more is really impressive.”

MMR works closely with Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) and ExxonMobil to ensure the program’s success. As a member of the NBRITI advisory council, MMR aids in selecting and interviewing NBRITI program students, creating course content and curriculum, participating in job fairs to recruit talent and supporting NBRITI cohort graduation ceremonies for students and their families.
